The Convertible Infinit G37 in Stores Now

For all those people who have been whining for years about the unwillingness of Infiniti to bring us a convertible version of the coupe, shut your mouth because the new 2009 Infiniti G37  Convertible is now here! The M30 was the first shot Infiniti took at building a luxuruy convertible.

The Infiniti Convertible gets aluminum trim, seats that are bolstered, and a larger trunk. The G37 convertible comes loaded with great accessories like an automatic climate control, a wind deflector, seat with a heater in them, and a 13-speaker Bose sound system. Bose is always at the pinnacle of sound and the system designed for the G37 uses digital signals and nosie cancelling speakers to adjust for nosie when the top is down. The Convertible features unique body panels which include three-piece retractable hardtop that folds under a tonneau cover into the trunk. The 3 peice top only take a matter of second to retract.

The regular G37 coupe was adapted to a convertible by beefing up the chassis and suspension plus making the car wider and longer. With the addition of the 3-piece convertible top and the necessary fixtures, the G37′s weight swells to over 2 tons. At over 400 pounds. heftier then the 2 door and more than 100 pounds. more that the 335i drop-top.

Engine wise, the 2009 Infiniti G37 Convertible has a 3.7 liter V-6 engine produces over 325 horsepower and 265 lb feet of torque.lb feet of torque. It comes available with a sport package and a standard six speed manual transmission or an optional seven speed automatic. The convertible also includes 19-inch rolling stock, enhanced brakes, and sport-tuned steering. Magnesium shift paddles are also included on all automatic cars. The base model version of the Infiniti convertible should cost just shy of 40k.  Add another to the sticker’s bottom line if you prefer a manual tranny over the automatic.
