Your friends and coworkers may have a dirty secret that you don’t know about. They may be going out to strange places on the weekends and doings things that would leave you feeling slimy if you were to do them. They may be hanging out with people who are only out for having a good time and don’t care how far they have to go to find it. You may not know it but your acquaintances may be hiding a secret so big that it only will fit in their garage. They may own a mudding 4×4 and spend all their free time tearing up the countryside slinging mud and getting dirty, not to mention having the time of their life.

When mudding the most enjoyable thing about it is of course making a dirty, slimy grimy mess out of yourself and your companions, but to really enjoy the thrill you need to have a truck that can take the abuse that the mud pit is going to throw at it. You need a truck that is durable and reliable and most of all one that you don’t care to much about the looks of.

When you go looking for a truck to use for mudding the first thought might be to borrow one from a friend (bad idea) or to buy the biggest, meanest and loudest truck you can find in the newspaper (also bad idea). The truth is that the best mud trucks are the ones that you might not think about. The reason is simple. These trucks were built with racing in mind, and that means that they have all the best features that you would want in a mud truck. These features include a great suspension system, a powerful engine and a excellent torque conversion ratio. They also can be easily lifted and the smaller size makes for easier handling in the pit.

One of the biggest considerations when putting together your mud truck is the ability to get the mud out of the truck as easily as it got in. This is where some minor alterations to the trucks interior might come in handy. One thing that you may want to do is to change out the seats with a single hard plastic bench seat that you can find in any off road trucking magazine or website products area. You also want to make it easy to flush the interior out with a high pressure hose so you will of course want to drill drain holes in the bottom of the floor board and in the truck bed.

Safety is of course important. Please remember that you will be driving a very powerful vehicle at a very high rate of speed though a boggy, slick, and wet mass. You need to make sure that you have adequate restraints in place such as five point harnesses just in case things get a little out of control.

If things do get a little out of control and you find yourself waist deep in mud with a stuck truck, you have 3 choices. First you could call a very expensive tow truck; second you could look like a total wimp and have to beg your friends to use their trucks to get you out; or third you could just throw a line around the nearest thing that weighs more than your truck and crank up your winch. Having a winch installed on the front or in the bed of the truck will allow you to pull yourself out of any jam that you find yourself in.

There really is no match for the pleasure that can be had with a mudding 4×4 and a weekend out in the back country with your friends. If you have not been to a mudding day then make it a point to go. If you have then go get you a truck of your own, the fun gets even better when you are behind the wheel.

A mudding 4×4 is a good way to pass the time and lose a little steam after a hard week. The fun time starts when you own your own mudding 4×4, next time you go out get behind the wheel of your own mud bogging truck.

There are actually some people in the world who really love to go camping. They love the outdoors and enjoying all of nature. Then there are also other people in this world who actually hate the outdoors. They actually would much rather enjoy the real comforts of a home. These kinds of folks are generally called city slickers. Well in this article we are going to go over some ways that a city slicker can still enjoy camping. Continue reading →
Useful Guide On How To Enjoy Camping If You Are A City Slicker is a post from: Crashed Cars For Sale

There are actually some people in the world who really love to go camping. They love the outdoors and enjoying all of nature. Then there are other people who hate the outdoors. They would much rather enjoy the comforts of a home. These kinds of folks are generally called city slickers. Well in this article we are going to examine some of the best ways that a city slicker can still enjoy camping.

First of all, the real best way is to go and get an awesome RV rental. RV rentals are absolutely great basically because you can really go camping and enjoy all the comforts of home. If you like, you can even enjoy a nice soft bed with a TV. Plus an RV will also have plenty supply of running water, a toilet and shower, along with a refrigerator. In other words they can still enjoy the outdoors while still having all of the comforts of the 20th century. That is what people love about my San Diego RV Rentals.

Another good way that you can enjoy the outdoors for that type of person is perhaps by renting a cabin. This is actually for people who still won’t be really satisfied with an RV. By renting a cabin, although technically do not exactly appear like camping, you still enjoy nature. You can still go to a great outdoors site and still enjoy all of nature. That is one of the biggest benefit to my Campland on the Bay RV rentals.

Well once you get them out to the great outdoors, they probably won’t enjoy the really fun things like hiking. So you could possibly engage in other activities. If there is a lake then you could definitely go swimming or boating. If they like fishing you can take them out to the lake to catch some fish. All of these things are really great activities for them to enjoy.

Finally, another great activity if they don’t like hiking is actually to take a mountain bike and go explore the woods. Of course you might not be able to actually get to every place that you could through walking, but it is still fun.

So there you have some of the great and proven ways so that you can get a city slicker to enjoy the outdoors. It isn’t exactly camping at times, but definitely, you will still fully enjoy most of the things you do when camping.

Get your travel trailers and RV’s at Carlsbad RV rentals. There are great deals to be found at Campland RV rentals.

There are many companies that manufacture trunk-mounted bike rack systems for almost all cars. Among these bike rack system companies are Allen, Hollywood Racks, Thule, Saris, Yakima and a couple others.

All the various trunk bike rack work almost the same way. Most of them strap onto the trunk of a auto and secure your bike to your auto for care-free transport. That’s all there is to it.

Hollywood Racks, Saris, Yakima, Thule and a few others sell trunk mount bike rack systems that can carry more than one bicycle and can transport three bicycles. This ability is comes in handy when bicycling as a group and carpooling.

Some models that I would recommend are the Saris Bones, Hollywood Racks Baja Rack, Allen AL102A and several others. All these trunk-mounted bike rack options are just a starting point.

The Allen AL102A trunk mount bike rack weighs 9.5 pounds, fits on most sedans. The single configuration design makes it easy during set up and installation. The 12″ long carry arms easily carries up to two bikes. You’ll have it up and running within seconds.

Another well-liked trunk mount bike rack is the Bones Series bicycle rack. The Bones Series by Saris features injection-molded arms and legs. These parts are the most durable on the market and assembled with 100% recyclable, non-rusting material. Ratcheting anti-sway straps secure and stabilize bikes. The novel Arc-based design is compatible with most spoilers and separates bicycles on different levels. Plastic parts on Saris racks are injected during the manufacturing process with a UV stabilizer. Therefore, colors will not fade/crack; additionally fading and cracking are covered under the manufacturer’s warranty. Lastly, they come in a few fun colors: blue, red, yellow, and black.

The King Joe by Yakima trunk mount bicycle rack is the best match. This bike rack comes with a Quick Trigger Hub System which makes installation a snap. The trunk bicycle rack can work with many cars of any Yakima strap-eqiuped rack. Narrow arm design is compatible with a most of bicycles. Premium Tri-Padded feet and padded metal buckles protect your car’s paint job. The Integrated StableCradles secure bicycles in place. The folding arms on the Yakima King Joe Rack make storage easy.

The Hollywood Baja Rack comes with patented Micro-Adjust hubs for a fast and easy installation. More that 5 straps solidly attach the Baja Rack to the trunk of your sedan. Bike separators with anti-sway blocks makes sure that the bicycles firmly attached to the trunk bike rack. AND, the rack folds flat for easy storing in a trunk or garage.

Gary has written more information and suggestions on trunk mount bike rack brands to mount on your car and other bicycle roof rack types, at www.rackwebs.com.
