After purchasing my new truck, the first thing I did was upgrade my exhaust to an awesome diesel exhaust systems. This is the first change every car lover should make to if you want the feel and sound of your car.

Everyone has their favorite style, their favorite brand, the sound their looking for and so on. There’s a huge selection out there for you to choose from in the custom world of exhaust systems. The auto-makers leave room for us car-lovers to make these improvements with better products than their stock options.

The most common reason car lover’s upgrade their exhaust system is for power. You’ll instantly increase the horsepower and torque of your vehicle. The reason for the increase in power is due to the fact that the air flow from the engine improves since it now breathes more efficiently.

One of the next benefits you’ll notice is the smooth sound of your engine. You’re car will start to prrr as you drive! You don’t want to make the engine too loud, as all states have different noise ordinances, but a nice deep tone is going to make your car shine!

You’ll also start to save money on gas. The emissions become way more efficient, allowing the engine to burn less gas than a stock exhaust.

Now that we’ve discussed the three most significant improvements to your vehicle, let’s discuss a few of the different styles available. There are single exhaust systems and dual exhaust systems. Dual exhaust systems have less restriction than single exhaust systems. The gases leaving your vehicle have more room to escape, which will usually create a better sound and a bit more power.

The diesel exhaust system I recently purchased is made by MagnaFlow and the style is referred to as opposite side dual. It’s not the most common style, but it’s a great option if you ever use a trailer. I tow my boat and this style has the pipes shooting out from under the bumper and off the sides of the tire. This prevents the fumes from polluting my boat.

It’s hard to drive a car with a stock exhaust system after making this change. Once you make the change, you’ll agree and never want to go back!

A new cheap car is not a misnomer. You don’t have to go to the junk yard to find a vehicle that will fit into your lean budget. You can drive the car of your dreams even with a pretty thin wallet if you follow the advice in this article.

One way to get the monthly payments down is to lease the car. Generally, a leased car payment will be about 60 percent of the monthly payment if you were going to own it. Better yet, you can turn that car in every 3 years and get a new one. If you are willing to take a slightly used car, take the lease off someone else’s hands and they’ll chip in on the monthly payment.

The next piece of advice I have is to consider buying last year’s model. You’ll still get a new car, but it won’t be the newest version. Every September, the manufacturers send in the next years model. But dealers still have the current – and sometimes even the past – year’s models on the lot. They are eager to get rid of these cars to make way for the new and will often give you a good deal.

Arm yourself with the facts. If you know how low the dealer can go, you will have an edge in the negotiations. Remember that the salesman has a bottom line that he cannot go below.

Unlike dealers, manufacturers can be more generous with their rebates and other incentives. Look for cash back, low financing rates, and other features the head office offers to move their vehicles.

There’s something even better than cheap – free! If you are willing to put advertising on your car, you can sometimes drive for free. This generally is only available in college towns and big cities. The way it works is that a car is wrapped in advertising in exchange for the driver’s free ride.

Do you want a new vehicle on a trim budget? Don’t despair. There are ways to get a new cheap car.

If you are looking for a cool new cars, I suggest you head on over to Edmunds.com for some great shopping.
